+ November 2007

Dear Charlotte ISACA,

Greetings! First, I would like to thank our membership for its vote of confidence in June on the recommended slate of directors. I and all board members look forward to serving you continually improving our abilities to meet the needs of IT risk professionals in the greater Charlotte area.

Similar to you, our thoughts are shifting from the memories of summer vacations to the work ahead of us. Recently, the board started discussing our future. Overall, our goal will continue to be providing maximum value to our members through training events and volunteer opportunities. Listed below are examples of ideas for the next year and going forward:

  • delivering longer education sessions (2 – 3 days) mixed in with smaller single day or part day events

  • increasing the number of student members

  • improving coordination with local corporate training programs

  • developing leadership and relationship skills in safe environment at committee and board levels

I welcome your voice on these ideas and invite you to contact me or any other board member for further discussion.

I am excited about the possibilities for our chapter as we look forward to year-end and 2008. Thank you for your continued participation in our chapter and your anticipated future engagement.

Best regards,

Ted Wolff, President
